Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach out if you cannot find an answer to your question.

You’re warmly welcomed into the space with a gentle check-in, allowing us to explore how you’re feeling, where you’re currently at and what you’d most love to receive from your face massage. From there we ease into a small opening ritual designed to help you feel grounded, present and fully settled before the massage begins.

Throughout the experience, you are deeply held and supported, creating space for your nervous system to soften, regulate, and return to a state of harmony. Every touch is intentional — inviting you to surrender into the moment while naturally sculpting, lifting and nourishing the face.

Through consistent practice, face massage becomes a beautiful ritual that supports both inner balance and graceful ageing. Designed to encourage lymphatic drainage, it helps reduce puffiness, improve blood circulation and release stored tension held within the face and jaw.

This nurturing practice works to naturally lift, sculpt, and soften the features, supporting a more youthful, radiant appearance while slowing visible signs of ageing over time. Bringing life, vitality, and renewed energy back to the face, scalp, neck, and décolletage, each session invites you to reconnect with yourself, bring coherence back to your nervous system while enhancing your natural beauty from within.

I recommend avoiding face massage immediately after receiving Botox, filler  or dermal thread treatments. It’s best to wait at least 5–6 weeks after Botox or filler injections and approximately 12-16 weeks — or until the tissues have completely healed — after dermal threads, to allow for proper healing and collagen integration.

Allowing your treatments adequate time to settle helps reduce the risk of product migration, irritation or compromising the final result, while ensuring the best possible outcome.

If you have had dermal threads, please provide written clearance or a compliance letter from your surgeon confirming you are medically approved to proceed with face massage treatments before booking your appointment.

With derma needling, laser facials and chemical peels I recommend waiting until your skin has completely healed before having a face massage. Massaging the area too soon can irritate sensitive or tender skin and may interfere with the healing process. It’s best to wait at least 1–2 weeks or until any redness, bruising  and peeling have fully subsided.

A very gentle face massage can be helpful, as it supports circulation and may assist in reducing inflammation. That said, if you’re experiencing active, cystic acne I would avoid face massage over those areas. It can potentially spread bacteria and increase irritation. It’s best to wait until the skin has settled before treating those areas more directly.

As a precaution, it is considered appropriate to wait until the second trimester before receiving a face massage. To avoid disappointment, I recommend scheduling your session in advance so you have something special to look forward to.

Aim for 2–3 sessions per week if you have sensitive skin. If your skin is less sensitive, gentle massage can be done daily. Staying consistent will help you see results more quickly.

I don't recommend receiving a face massage while experiencing cold or flu symptoms. During illness, your body is already working hard to support your immune system and manage inflammation and rest is most beneficial for recovery. Face massage may feel overstimulating and is unlikely to be comfortable while you are unwell. For this reason, it is best to wait until you are fully recovered before returning to treatment. This is also a standard hygiene practice to ensure the wellbeing of both clients and practitioners. Please consider scheduling a session in the future for when you feel better and something to look forward to.

A Gentle Reminder . . .

If you’ve recently had Botox, fillers, injectables, threads, or other professional facial treatments, please click the button below to learn more.

A healing period is recommended before receiving a facial massage. This allows your skin and tissues time to settle, restore, and fully integrate.

In the meantime, you’re welcome to schedule a future appointment. It gives you a beautiful ritual to look forward to after your healing period.
